OUTSTANDING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT April 2020 Dear Valued Educators, Every summer for the past 25 years (at least), I have offered classes for teachers. If you are visiting my website right now, you may be looking for my Summer 2020 schedule. It is an understatement to say that this is not a normal year! Given the uncertainty we all face regarding the need for social distancing and sheltering-in-place, I am going to hold off on making a firm schedule. If it's possible, I would like to be able to offer some classes, either in person or via live video conferencing. Once we have a better idea of whether/when groups can gather, I will post my schedule here and I will send an email to my mailing list. If you have any requests for classes, please let me know. I have been awed by the heroic efforts of teachers to address the needs of their students during this crazy time. Besides having to retool in a matter of days to a completely different way of teaching, many of you have your own children at home and/or you've been caring for, worrying about, or mourning your family members and extended community.
